Message from Fr. Con

Reflection for 17 Sunday of Ordinary Time, week beginning 25 July 2021.

We have entered the long holiday break from school, in this last week of July, the month of the Precious Blood of Jesus.
Hopefully a holiday break will still be possible – whether a “staycation” or a trip abroad that would not require a quarantine period upon one’s return.
Throughout the pandemic, we have made available a Healing Prayer of St Pius (Padre Pio of Pietrelcina). It has lodged on the wooden altar in the side-chapel, framed alongside a framed picture of this saint. (Copies of the prayers have been available there.)
Clearly the prayer has considerable application regarding all-round health during the course of the pandemic.
You will see from this healing prayer that it makes specific reference to the saving Blood of Jesus.
By taking a copy, you can then make further copies available for your family members. As the pandemic continues, it would be a most suitable daily family prayer.
